Circle Credit's humble beginnings commenced way back in 1963 at the Orica Deer Park site (formerly ICI), known then as the Derrimut Credit Co-operative Limited.

In 1965 the Yarraville Area Employees Credit Co-operative Limited and the Ascot Vale Area Employees Credit Co-operative Limited commenced servicing ICI employees in the Yarraville and Ascot Vale areas respectively, all operating on a skeleton and voluntary staff in the true nature of co-operation.

As demand grew and full-time management and staff became necessary, all three credit unions amalgamated to become Circle Credit Co-operative Limited in 1972.

In 2006 Circle merged with Credit Union Incitec Pivot, who were servicing over 1700 members from employees, families, and friends of Incitec Pivot Ltd. The bond between the Credit Unions was very similar, as at this time Incitec Pivot was majority owned by Orica Ltd.

Today Circle serves over 5000 members, from four different offices across Australia. The commitment to members is as strong as when we were formed back in 1963.
