Circle introduces Key Facts Sheets. |

The Australian Federal Government has introduced a regulatory requirement from the 1st of January 2012 for all providers of Mortgage related products to make available to their clients a standard "Key Facts Sheet" outlining important elements of the mortgage including information such as repayments and the impact of paying extra on your loan. Circle has introduced the "Key Facts Sheet" within our home loan section of our site. |

Circle to reduce Mortgage rate by 0.25%p.a. |

In line with the Reserve Bank announcement on Tuesday the 6th of December, Circle will be reducing mortgage rates by 0.25% effective the 1st of January for existing mortgage loans and effective immediately for new mortgage loans. Circle continues to have a lower standard variable rate on mortgages when compared to the major banks (as at 13/12/2011). Retirement of CEO - Bernie Gerlinger |

Today marks the retirement of our long standing CEO - Bernie Gerlinger. Bernie joined the Credit Union as CEO almost 20 years ago and during his time has guided our Credit Union to the strong financial institution that it is today. Bernie has an extensive background in finance and banking and has left quite a legacy on our industry. We thank Bernie on behalf of our Members for his service and wish him all the best in retirement. Andy Smith - Finance and Operations Manager has been appointed as Circle's new CEO. Andy held the role for over 15 years with Circle and has over 30 years experience in Finance and Banking. |

Circle's website service provider experienced a period of down time during the hours of 12.30pm on the 26/09/2011 to 9.00am on the 27/09/2011. This was not a planned outage and occurred due to issue on the server. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused Members. The system is now stable and services have returned to normal. |

Members may notice a change to our internet banking site with a prompt showing that TrustDefender internet banking security is coming soon. Circle is implementing a new layer of security on the internet banking site free of charge for Members. Verified by Visa Scam |

Members may have received an email recently claiming to be from Visa International. This email relates to the updated security program Verified by Visa and asks you to update your card by clicking a link as it has been suspended.
THIS EMAIL IS A SCAM. Please do not follow the link, delete the email immediately and report it to us via info@circle.com.au.
Visa international will not email Members asking them to update their information. Any such email should be deleted and reported to our offices. |

Update to Circle's Verified by Visa Internet Security Program |

Members may notice some changes to the security requirements when purchasing online with their Visa Debit and Credit cards. Our Verified by Visa program has recently changed to include all Members with a Visa Debit or Credit card without the need to register.

Woolworths: Recent changes when using your Visa Debit card to pay for purchases at Woolworths' checkouts |

You may notice a change in how you can use your Visa Debit card when paying for purchases at Woolworths and its affiliated company stores. Woolworths has turned off the credit (Cr) button on its PINpad terminals for Visa Debit. This means that you have to press Savings (Sav) or Cheque (Chq) rather than Credit (Cr) when paying for items at the checkout.

Circle is not part of any other Credit Union and these emails are fraudulent. Members should delete these emails. Circle will NEVER email Members asking them to reset their internet banking passwords or inform them that their password/access has been suspended. HOLIDAY PERIOD TRADING HOURS |

Circle will be closing at 1.00pm on Thurs 24th Dec and Thurs 31st Dec 2009. All branches will be closed on the 25th and 26th of December and the 1st of January due to the public holidays. All other times between will be normal trading hours. The Newcastle branch will be closed from the 24th of Dec and re-opening Monday the 4th of January due to plant closure. We wish all our members a festive holiday season and a happy new year. |

CIRCLE INTRODUCES ONLINE STATEMENTS FOR MEMBERS |

Members will be please to know that they now can access their statements online and conclude receiving paper statements. At least two years of past statements have been provided for Members within our new online statement system. Circle has also announced that the NetLink fee of $1/mth will be rebated to all those Members who register for online statements.
