Circle Alliance Bank | Supporting Kidney Disease

Very few people realise that more Australians die with kidney related disease than from breast cancer, prostate cancer and even road traffic accidents.  Living with kidney disease can be extremely challenging.  Dialysis often requires 3 days a week for up to 5 hours at a time to stay healthy. For a child with a kidney disease this can be a very isolating experience when they should be outside, having fun, and doing things that other children enjoy. That’s why the Kidney Kar Rally was created and is committed to raising funds in support of Kidney Health Australia’s ‘Kidney Kids’ Camps.  These camps allow children with kidney disease to enjoy fun-filled days of activities whilst still receiving the necessary life-saving medical care. Team G-Town Funk, featuring Oden Hickey and CIRCLE Alliance Bank CEO Andy Smith are aiming to support the 'Kidney Kids' by participating in the Rally. Oden and Andy are heading off on their first Rally adventure and will be travelling from Bathurst to Taree via Dubbo in NSW from 12 - 20 August 2016 with the aim to raise as much funds as possible to support a cause that is close to their hearts. Both Oden and his father-in-law, Andy, are kidney donors. In 2003, Andy donated a kidney to his daughter Michelle and this kidney kept her healthy for 8 years. After a few years of dialysis, Michelle received a kidney from her now husband Oden in November 2014 as part of the paired kidney exchange program. Both Oden and Andy would appreciate your support by donating to such a worthy cause. If you would like to donate, click here  and you will receive an automatic tax-deductible receipt. Every little bit helps – thank you!
